#HolidayApp to Keep You Smiling all December

by 1:26 PM
If you love the holidays like we do at +Le Grand Balcon Hotel, check out the free holiday app; Fiete Christmas. It is a simple and beautiful advent calendar hosted by a friendly sailor named Fiete.

Welcome to Fiete's winter wonderland.

The entry page welcomes us to Fiete's home and winter wonderland. Unlike many advent calendar apps that are flashy and plastered with jolly santas, this scene is calm and reminds us of the non-commercial reasons we love the holidays.

Someone is definitely on Santa's Nice list.

The sound of a crackling fireplace completes this cozy scene. Each date of December a new interactive surprise is added to Fiete's home. For example after clicking '1', the little red car in the bottom left-hand corner of the picture appeared.

Just visit Fiete for your daily dose of holiday spirit. We can hardly wait to see what he will get for Christmas!

Le Grand Balcon Hotel visits #Marchedenoel 2013

Every year, Le Grand Balcon Hotel enjoys a view of Toulouse's Christmas market.
So much to see under the stunning illuminations!

Marché de Noël is held right next door to Le Grand Balcon Hotel in Place du Capitole. This year's festivities go from November 29 to December 26.
Bags for sale in a snow-topped stand. H/T Dépêche Events.
The aroma and colors of these spices trigger all the senses.
Delicious cakes for sale.

Each stall has something different to enjoy. There will be jewelry, toys, clothes, pottery and more from local artists, and of course there will be food. Cakes, spices, even foie gras, there is something for everyone at the Toulouse Christmas market.

Thank you to www.riosebastian.com/ for the three photos! Now we cannot wait to try a slice of sumptuous cake from this year's Marché de Noël.

Christmas has come to Galeries Lafayette!

by 1:33 PM
Le General Hotel loves the winter holidays. Lucky for us there are Vitrines de Noel at Galeries Lafayette Haussman.

The tree is especially breathtaking under the
illuminated dome ceiling.
From now until December 31 the stunning department store will display its annual Christmas fairytale. Complete with illuminations, clocks, music, dancing stuffed animals and a Christmas tree over 20 meters tall, if Noel at Galeries Lafayette is not Christmas magic, than nothing is.

This year a few of the display windows have animated screens and floral arrangements in honor of Beauty and the Beast. There is even an interactive wall where you can move flowers to reveal a hidden image.

What is hiding behind the roses?

Travel to the rooftop chocolate bar and enjoy the view of Paris while sipping the famed Jean-Paul Hevin hot chocolate. Or bring the children to take a photo with Santa Claus. There are countless ways to enjoy the spirit of the holidays in this wonderland.
