The "LIDO" CHAMPS ELYSÉES

Paris has always had a reputation as a city of celebration and entertainment.

Located on the most famous avenue in the world, the Champs-Élysées, the Lido and its revues have added sparkle to the « City of Light » and « Paris by night » since 1946.

Come discover the Lido, « the world’s most famous cabaret, » and share the exhilaration and enchantment of a legendary location.

This uninterrupted string of successes led the Lido to move from 78 Champs Elysées to 116 bis in 1977. The new cabaret is at the exit of the George V metro station, in the Normandie building, next to the largest cinema of the period.

The Moulin Rouge

For romantics, no visit to the city of lights would be complete without a night at the original Moulin Rouge cabaret in Paris. Built in 1889, the club was the essence of a bohemian, Belle Epoque Paris, where artists converged to produce and attend colorful and avant- garde performances.

The Moulin Rouge in Paris has inspired scores of Hollywood homages, the most recent being director Baz Luhrman’s 2001 glitz fest starring Nicole Kidman. It also provided inspiration for 19th-century painter Toulouse Lautrec, whose portraits of Moulin Rouge performers are today housed in Paris’ Musee d’Orsay.
